| The famous slogan of the “Country is red all over” was politically incorrect, in that the country of China, according to the Communist government, included Taiwan, and since Taiwan was not “red”, the statement was therefore incorrect. To correct it, many changed the poster to reflect the Taiwan exclusion. This poster, titled “The country of the Peony are full of brightness – The Country (exclude Taiwan)’s mountains and rivers (shan he) are red all over. The flower of China is peony, and China was often lovely referred as the country of peony. A nice wood block print featuring a smiling Mao’s profile. 30” x 21” | ||
