| This blue covered diary is called "Revolutionary Art Diary" on the cover and was given from a boyfriend to his girlfriend. Since during the Cultural Revolution one should not declare one's love to an individual other than Chairman Mao, it was pertinent to write in the message that the diary book was given to a fellow comrade and not a lover. Notes were taken using this diary to capture the political studies during the Cultural Revolution by the recipient. This blank diary book was given from a man named Hu Yong Hua to a woman named Sun Cai Juan during the Chinese New Year of 1972. A nice glimpse into people's love lives during this period from this nicely kept notebook. | ||
