| Political items were used for the purpose of exchanging vows or setting up dates during Cultural Revolution, since personal feelings should never be revealed and emotions were only reserved for the sake of "revolution". This was the case for this "China Diary" book, which was actually given to a couple as wedding present on Feburary 10th, 1956. This notebook, which was actually supposed to be a diary book, was used to record meeting minutes taken place in Qing Hai province, which is a province near Tibet and is known to be a place where Tibetans lived outside of Tibet. Class struggle was an item in this meeting, in addition to the agricultural production. A wonderful memorabilia item pre Cultural Revolution. 1956. | ||
