The Cultural Revolution period produced very little entertainment material, outside of the propaganda plays, ballets and Peking Operas. This play is a famous one, called "The Militiawomen of the Grassland, bring charcoal to the Liberation Army in the snow", this play was performed by the Propaganda Team of the Political Department of the Railway Engineering Corps of the Chinese People's Libration Army, with Xia Kang being the conductor. Record number is M-978, the songs also are included in a booklet. This record is a LP, 33 1/3 RPM and 10 inches (LP). Manufactured by China Record Company, and distributed by Guozi Shudian, this rare record features some of the most popular songs during the Cultural Revolution.
