| This oval shaped large porcelain penholder is in mint condition and considered an extreme rarity among people who are familiar with Cultural Revolution memorabilia. The front of this penholder features a picture of Mao and Lin Biao. The red characters just below the photo state the following: "Chairman Mao and his close war comrade Lin Biao reviewing the great army of the Cultural Revolution". Below the large red characters is a picture of Chan-An Street, the most well known boulevard in Beijing, which crosses Tiananmen Square and adjoins the People's Congress of China, and number of red flags and pine trees that symbolized "Long Live Chairman Mao". Just below the picture, the 9 characters read "Wish Chairman Man Live to Ten Thousand Years". At the back of the penholder is an excerpt from Mao's articles, titled "The Eleven signs of Freedom Doctrine", written March 1953. Below the excerpt paragraph, is a picture of torch, and below that, is the famous line: "one small flame can burn the entire prairie”. At the bottom of this oval penholder, it is imprinted with the following: "Produced in 1968". Size: height 11.22"; outer diameter 6.50”/4.13; inner diameter 4.92"/2.76”.
